The Coral Gables Community Foundation’s areas of interest include education, arts and culture, health services, historical preservation, and social services (for the elderly, youth and disabled). Grantees should be IRS recognized §501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. The Foundation’s support should not be considered as a continuing source of funds.

The Foundation does not typically consider requests which influence legislation, promote candidates, are for religious, sectarian or individual purposes (except for education), or are to be used to purchase tickets for charitable functions.

Grants are reviewed on a bi-annual basis, although the Board of Directors has the right to postpone grant disbursements for the purpose of building the Foundation’s endowment base. Please do not purchase expensive presentation materials for your grant request, as the Foundation only requests its Grant Application be completed (below). The Board of Directors reviews all Grant Applications and will notify recipients approximately 45 days following the bi-annual review period. Please keep in mind that timeliness is important. Sending in requests several months before the funding is needed gives an applicant a better advantage.
GRANT APPLICATION: Those wishing to apply for funding must fill out the Grant Application here.
