Executive Director Mary Snow, 2015The Coral Gables Community Foundation celebrated its 24th year in 2015. We are so proud of the work we are doing to enhance the quality of life in Coral Gables! Through our discretionary, donor-advised, endowed and scholarship funds, we are continuously striving to support our community’s youth, elderly and disadvantaged while also supporting preservation efforts and sponsoring important cultural hubs and their activities .
In 2015 alone, The Foundation awarded over $50,000 in college scholarships to outstanding Coral Gables area high school seniors, awarded grants to 15 non-profit organizations with an impact to the City, and hosted our signature annual events, our Tour of Kitchens and the Night in Old Shanghai gala, which enable us to raise funds so we may continue the great work we are doing. In addition to the 41 Donor-Advised, non-profit and corporate funds we administer, the Foundation provides many ways to get involved in your community.
Through engaging with and improving our hometown community, our Merrick Society members play a vital role in the Foundation’s mission. The three-year commitment made by Merrick Society donors enables the Foundation to administer grants, fund charitable organizations and stimulate neighborhood development.
Joining the Merrick Society is a powerful and meaningful way for individuals to create a philanthropic legacy for their community and the causes they care about most.
