The Coral Gables Community Foundation is proud to spotlight Eric Gros-Dubois and Deirdre Nero in this month’s Merrick Society Member Moment for their generous support of our organization.
Eric and Deirdre have been Merrick Society members since 2015 and they continue to support the Community Foundation at every opportunity from participating in our annual gala fundraiser to joining volunteer opportunities provided by the organization. In addition to their support as Merrick Society members, they are significant annual donors to the Community Foundation’s Four-Year Scholarship program, which provides college scholarships to students from Coral Gables High School who demonstrate academic achievement and dedication to service within the school and in his/her community.
Born in New York and raised in Dallas, Eric is the Founding Partner of EPGD Business Law and leads a full-service team that guides, protects and defends businesses and business owners with interests in Florida, Washington, D.C., New York, and around the world. Deirdre grew up in New Jersey before moving to Coral Gables for law school. She is a local expert in the field of immigration law as the founder of NERO Immigration Law, P.L., which specializes in business immigration including employment-based immigrant and temporary visa petitions.
In addition to their professional accomplishments, both Eric and Deirdre are graduates of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, are active members of the Coral Gables Bar Association, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce (where they both currently serve on the Executive Committee), and the BNI Coral Gables Chapter. Eric is often a featured speaker in the U.S. and abroad on emerging business and employment topics. Deirdre is Secretary of the Board of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) and a leader on their advocacy team and head of their local support group.
Eric and Deirdre love to travel and enjoy visiting locales and resorts that they purchase through the Foundation’s fundraising auctions. We thank Eric and Deirdre for their many years of generous support of the Community Foundation and hope they get to travel abroad again very soon!
