The Coral Gables Community Foundation is pleased to welcome Venny Torre as the Chair of the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term. Venny is the principal of Torre Companies and is an admired leader in his field and active in the community. Venny contributes his time and financial resources to many local non-profit and civic organizations. In addition to serving on the Foundation Board for the past six years, Venny most recently served as the past President of the Business Improvement District of Coral Gables, is a current member of the City’s Planning & Zoning Board, a Past Chair of the City’s Historic Preservation Board and a Past Vice President Dade Heritage Trust.
The Foundation is also pleased to welcome Adriana Verdeja-Arango to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Adriana is the Executive Director of Government and Community Relations for the University of Miami. Ms. Verdeja-Arango was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Coming from a family with businesses in construction and design, she also has worked in higher education for over a decade serving in various roles with the University of Miami from fundraising as Senior Director of Development, to Deputy Chief of Staff to the President and Executive Director of Government and Community Relations.
