Adams Joins Foundation as Marketing and Program Manager

Local Native Brings Experience with Digital Media, Philanthropy to the Job

CORAL GABLES, FL (April 11, 2022)  – Robertson Adams joined the Coral Gables Community Foundation as its Marketing and Program Manager, and will run the Foundation’s flagship scholarship and grant programs, in addition to serving in a variety of other capacities.

Reporting directly to President & CEO Mary Snow, Adams will be managing the Foundation’s scholarship and grants programs, marketing, develop and social media. He supports events, evaluation, development and strategy.

Born in Coral Gables, Robertson graduated from the Advertising program at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. He was a designer, reporter and editor for 16 years in the newspaper industry including Knight-Ridder, Nikkei and The Miami Herald. His philanthropy experience includes 14 years in strategic communications as a producer, editor and project manager for the James S. and John L. Knight Foundation. His community involvement includes 40+ years in Scouting, and currently he serves  as  an Assistant Scoutmaster in BSA Troop 941.  He also serves as  President of the Design and Architecture Senior High (DASH) PTSA.

Robertson Adams has joined Coral Gables Community Foundation as Marketing and Program Manager. Mr. Adams received a BS in Advertising from the University of Florida. He has worked in newspapers including Knight Ridder Graphics, The Nikkei and The Miami Herald for 16 years, and the non-profit Knight Foundation for 14 years prior to joining the Foundation. He’s a Scout leader in BSA Troop 941 and president of DASH PTSA.
