Planned Giving: Gifts that Cost you Nothing Today

Gifting by Designation

You can make a lasting impact on our City Beautiful by listing the Coral Gables Foundation as one of the beneficiaries on your financial and/or retirement accounts. This gift can be completed at any time by simply updating the beneficiary designation on your financial accounts. While you are alive, you have complete access and control of your financial accounts. Upon your passing the amount you have earmarked for philanthropic causes will pass directly to charity.
You can name the Coral Gables Community Foundation as the beneficiary on any of the following vehicles….

  1. Bank accounts
  2. Brokerage accounts
  3. Individual retirement accounts
  4. Company retirement plans
  5. Certificates of deposits (CDs)
  6. Life insurance policies

Gifting by your will or trust

You should speak with your estate attorney about the benefits of creating a will or a trust. Aside from making sure your intentions are in writing, a will or trust is a efficient way to provide for your loved ones and the charitable causes that are near and dear to you.

Making a gift in your will or via your trust, is known as a charitable bequest. A charitable bequest will allow you to make a lasting impact on Coral Gables while you retain full control of your assets during your life. Upon your passing, you legacy will be expressed through your charitable bequests.
