Coral Gables resident Blanche Brownell celebrated her 90th birthday with the dedication of a bench in memory of her beloved, late husband, Edwin R. Brownell, near their home at the butterfly garden on Alhambra Circle and Granada Blvd.
Ed Brownell was a respected surveyor, businessman, and community leader. He served as president of the Country Club of Coral Gables (1992–1995) and received Certificates of Appreciation for his contributions to the city’s Planning and Zoning Board and Board of Adjustments.
The Brownell family invites the community to enjoy the bench and welcomes others to honor loved ones through similar dedications in Coral Gables’ parks.
