Coral Gables Community Foundation Announces 2025 Golden Age Gala Honorees
Annual gala to celebrate City’s centennial with a dazzling evening honoring civic, philanthropic, and cultural leaders
CORAL GABLES, FL (September 3, 2025) — The Coral Gables Community Foundation is pleased to announce its 2025 Gala Honorees, to be celebrated at The Golden Age Gala: A 1925 Soirée, now in its 34th year. The annual black-tie event, the Foundation’s premier fundraiser supporting grants, scholarships, and community programs, will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel.
This year’s gala pays tribute to Coral Gables’ centennial and the elegance of 1925, inviting guests to step into a world of Art Deco style, vintage cocktails, and jazz-age energy. The honorees represent the legacy, generosity, and civic spirit upon which the City Beautiful was built—and how it’s evolving today.
The 2025 Honorees include:
- Ambassador Sue and Ambassador Chuck Cobb – Legacy Award, Presented by Greenberg Traurig
- Dr. Michael Alessandri – Education Award
- Sheldon and Florence Anderson – Philanthropy Award
- KIDZ Medical Services – Health & Wellness Award, Presented by Baptist Health
- Sissy DeMaria-Koehne – Community Award, Presented by Coral Gables Community Foundation
- Alirio & Dorys Torrealba – Gables Beautiful Award
“This remarkable group honors the past 100 years of Coral Gables while building towards our future,” said Mauricio Vivero, President and CEO of the Coral Gables Community Foundation. “As someone honored to lead this community-focused organization, I can’t wait to celebrate these champions at my first Foundation gala.”
Ashley Cusack, who is co-chairing the event with Danielle Gonzalez, promises a night to remember. “The Golden Age Gala will dazzle guests with exceptional entertainment, exquisite cuisine, and the timeless glamour of the 1920s,” said Cusack. “It’s going to be an unforgettable evening that celebrates everything we love about Coral Gables—its history, elegance, and heart.”
The gala will feature live entertainment by Danny Beck Entertainment, a curated dining experience, and all the pageantry that has made this event a staple of the Coral Gables social calendar.
