Ralph V. Moore Scholarship for Cavalier Excellence

This scholarship is given annually to the graduating senior who has shown the most dedication to Coral Gables Senior High during his/her years of attendance. Academic achievement and financial need may be additional factors in the evaluation process.

Named after the late Ralph V. Moore, upon his retirement as Principal of Coral Gables Senior High School, through a fund established in his name at the Coral Gables Community Foundation for his years of service to the school and his community, applicants should be honored for consideration of this award.


1.   Exemplary service to school and community
2.   Demonstrate all around excellence in academics, athletics and/or extra-curricular activities with a minimum weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
3.   Attended Coral Gables Senior High at least two years, including the senior year
4.   Enroll as a full time undergraduate student in a post secondary community college, vocational technical school or state or private four year college or university and pursue any recognized course of study
5.   Personal Statement of Financial Need

VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIP  variable, typically $500 -$1000
