Applicants must be a Coral Gables High School graduating senior who will major in Nursing. The applicant must also have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) and demonstrate financial need.
Requirements
- Has attended Coral Gables Senior High School for at least two years, including the senior year
- Has taken science or health courses in high school and plans to pursue education and a career in Nursing.
- Academic excellence in High School and GPA of 3.0 or better
- SAT or ACT test report required
- Personal Statement of Financial Need
Value
The value of the two-year Scholarship is between $1,000-5,000 for one year. Checks are sent directly from the Coral Gables Community Foundation to the bursar’s office of the recipient’s college or university.
Maintenance
In order to maintain the scholarship for two years, the recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout his/her college studies and send transcripts to the Foundation upon the completion of each academic year.
