Established in 1955, public relations pioneer Everett “Ev” Clay was a founding member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Miami (PRSA) chapter. In 1985, PRSA Miami Chapter established an endowed scholarship fund in Ev Clay’s memory to provide assistance to promising South Florida public relations students who demonstrate academic performance, aptitude and financial need. The Community Foundation is honored to administer the Ev Clay Endowed Scholarship.

The Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Chapter Endowment Fund will award up to eight scholarships, up to $4,500 each, for undergraduate or graduate study, selecting up to two students from each of the following South Florida schools: Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade College and the University of Miami. Recipients will be notified in August and scholarships will be presented at the annual Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Chapter Endowment Fund Luncheon on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

TO APPLY:

• Be a full-time student at one of four specific colleges (UM, FIU, MDC, FMC)
• PRSSA chapter member (Public Relations Student Society of America) in good standing
• MDC students are not required to be PRSSA members.
• Complete this online application; provide two Letters of Recommendation; respond to an essay prompt.
