Named after the late Ralph V. Moore Jr. upon his retirement as Principal of Coral Gables Senior High School, this scholarship was established in his name at the Coral Gables Community Foundation for his years of service to the school and his community. This scholarship is given annually to a graduating senior who has shown the most dedication to Coral Gables Senior High during their years of attendance. Academic achievement and financial need may be additional factors in the evaluation process.
About Principal Ralph V. Moore, Jr.
Ralph V. Moore, Jr. was the principal of Coral Gables Senior High School 1977-1993 and was involved in the 1991 founding of the Coral Gables Community Foundation. The fund advisor is his son Ralph Moore III.
Eligible Students
- Attended Coral Gables Senior High at least two years, including the senior year
Requirements
- Exemplary service to school and community
- Demonstrate all around excellence in academics, athletics and/or extra-curricular activities
- Minimum weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Enroll as a full time undergraduate student in an accredited college or university
- Pursue any recognized course of study
- Personal Statement of Financial Need
- Student Aid Index (from the FAFSA Student Aid Report)

Value
The value of the scholarship is $1,000 for one year.
Checks are sent directly from the Coral Gables Community Foundation to the bursar’s office of the recipient’s college or university.
