Trades Scholarship Fund
Supporting Miami-Dade students pursuing careers in the skilled trades
The Trades Scholarship Fund at the Coral Gables Community Foundation supports students pursuing careers in various trade industries. These scholarships can help cover tuition and other costs associated with the field of study. This scholarship supports Miami-Dade students pursuing career and technical education — programs that lead directly to jobs, licenses, and careers in industries essential to our community.
The Trades Scholarship Fund is made possible through the generosity of the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation and a group of committed local donors.
Who Can Apply
- Currently enrolled or accepted into a career and technical education program at Miami Dade College
- No limit on age (this is changed from our original description)
- High school diploma, GED, or GED in progress through dual enrollment
Additional institutions will be considered in future cycles.
Applications Are Now Open
The application takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Written responses may be submitted in English or Spanish.
Awards are based on individual need and program costs.

Following this initial cycle, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for students beginning in upcoming terms.

What the Award Covers
Awards may be used for qualified educational expenses including tuition and enrollment fees and materials required for your program.
Eligible fields of study include HVAC, automotive technology, welding, aviation technology, plumbing, electronic systems, construction and other skilled trades.
Donor Supported
The Trades Scholarship Fund has been seeded with generous support from the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation, led by benefactor E. Roe Stamps IV, and a group of committed local donors. Awards are based on individual need and program costs. Following this initial cycle, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for students beginning in upcoming terms.
